Abstract: This project proposes a prototype of an Intelligent Waste Separator and Recycling (IWSR) that consists of a common trash can, with more containers inside it, using IoT and Evolutionary Fuzzy logic Technology. People can throw their waste, no matter what kind, into the system. The latter can decide what kind of waste it belongs to and to deposit it in the correct container. On the other hand, the system will deploy the IoT technology to manage the crowd of roads during hajj period. The vehicles should be connected to the smart trash cans and to monitoring system to facilitate and affectionate the process of trash gathering and management. The system will rely upon solar energy sensing to be energy efficient.

Abstract: Marbles are usually hydrophilic, and have contact angle values between 40-60°C. This makes marble surfaces susceptible to attack from water, which is the main instigator of stone decay causing salt crystallization inside the pores of the stone. Alkoxysilanes are widely used in the protection of stones such as marbles, granites or limestones. Nevertheless, gels made of alkoxysilanes are not always hydrophobic. In this research, we imparted hydrophobic character into the marbles by the addition of polydimethysiloxane, and further improved this hydrophobicity by adding different amounts of (%0,1, %1, %3 , %5 w/w) nanosilica with respect to the alcohol content. We measured the contact angle values of the coated marble samples and corrolated these results with AFM measurements, and SEM images. We exposed the coated samples humidity, and UV aging tests to evaluate the protective efficiency of the coatings.

DOI: 10.17148/IARJSET.2019.6206
Abstract: At one time or the other, organizations would witness crisis whether internal or external in which its impact could induce severe consequences or even disasters if wrong strategic moves are devised. The issue of how organizations can maintain good performance when faced with critical situations has largely remained unexplored. This study therefore examines the effect of crisis management strategy on organizational performance of Palestinian companies. Crisis management forms the bedrock for peaceful co-existence between employers and employees and even the society at large. Crisis is inevitable in any organization because it comes in varied forms and degrees. In carrying out this study a total of 140 respondents were randomly selected from a staff population. Two hypotheses were formulated to guide the study and the data collected were analyzed using partial correlation. The results revealed that management challenges to crisis management strategy are attributed to poor organizational performance and that crisis management strategy does not have any effect on organizational performance. Based on the findings of the study, recommendations were made that multinational corporations in Palestine should make funds available for crisis management on a continuous basis, and that management of organizations should be pro-active when it comes to issues of crisis management strategies. Therefore, the extent to which an organization is able to forge ahead in spite of this unavoidable constraint will depend much on the crisis management strategies on whom rests the arduous task of resolving crisis.

DOI: 10.17148/IARJSET.2019.6207
Abstract: Air conditioners are used for maintaining a good Thermal Comfort (TC) and Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) inside the air conditioned room. Performance of air conditioner generally reflects the TC, IAQ inside the room and the power consumption by the air conditioner. In this study a Split Air Conditioner (SAC) of 1.5 ton (TR) is considered for experimentation. This study investigates how the power consumptions vary with the variation of thermostat temperature and ambient temperature. It is found that in the environment of Guwahati it is not necessary to keep the thermostat temperature always below 200C to maintain the thermal comfort. This investigation shows that a good amount of power and money can be shaved by controlling the Thermostat Temperature (TT) with respect to Ambient Temperature (AT). The finding indicates that at a constant ambient temperature of 320 C when the thermostat temperature set at 180 C, 220 C and 240 C, 21% and 35% of power can be shaved in case of 220 C and 240 C in comparison to 180 C. This paper further indicates that at constant thermostat temperature of 19 0 C when the ambient temperature varies like 210 C, 240 C and 280 C, 15% and 41% power reduction occurs in case of 240 C and 210 C in comparison to 280C.

Abstract: Cloud computing offers a new way of service provision by rearranging various resources over the Internet. The most important and popular cloud service is data storage. In order to preserve the privacy of data holders, data are often stored in cloud in an encrypted form. However, encrypted data introduce new challenges for cloud data deduplication, which becomes crucial for big data storage and processing in cloud. Existing solutions of encrypted data deduplication suffer from security weakness. Therefore, few of them can be readily deployed in practice. In this paper, we propose a scheme to deduplicate encrypted data stored in cloud based on ownership challenge and proxy re-encryption. It integrates cloud data deduplication with access control. We evaluate its performance based on extensive analysis and computer simulations. The results show the superior efficiency and effectiveness of the scheme for potential practical deployment, especially for big data deduplication in cloud storage.

DOI: 10.17148/IARJSET.2019.6213
Abstract: The communication using visible light is the new trend in communication field where the different coloured light or different intensity of light is used to communicate. Why the visible light communication is more important in this era? It is because the already existing communication method has some difficulties and interference. The most of the existing communication systems uses radio frequency. In radio communication, information's such as sound, images are carried by radio waves. But this Radio Frequency [RF] communication has some disadvantages. It suffers from interference and high latency issues and the RF communication requires a separate setup for transmission and reception of radio waves. For overcoming these limitations, a new method is adopted ie, Visible Light Communication [VLC].
