DOI: 10.17148/IARJSET.2020.7902
Abstract: In the field of microbiology, there is no direct method to find out the microorganism and their species of bacteria. Microscopic sample analysis is a common manual technique employed for bacterial detection and identification. These tests will be less time-consuming and is subjected to more accuracy. Hence it requires highly trained personnel for testing. In order to overcome the existing manual problems, machine algorithms are used. The main aim of this project is to use image-processing techniques to identify the bacteria from images. Image processing is a technique to perform some manipulations or operations in an image, in order to get an improved image or to extract some useful information from it. At present, image processing is a rapidly growing technology. Using machine learning algorithms bacteria is identified with less time and more accuracy.

DOI: 10.17148/IARJSET.2020.7903
Abstract: The main objective of this project is to develop a Credit card fraud Detection using the Random Forest Algorithm. Recently, a dramatic spike in the number of credit card purchases has contributed to a substantial uptick in fraudulent activity. Implementation of successful fraud prevention mechanisms has been necessary for all banks issuing credit cards to reduce their losses. This makes it difficult for the retailer to check whether or not the client who is making a transaction is the genuine cardholder. With the proposed method, the accuracy of detecting the fraud can be increased using random forest algorithm. Random forest algorithm classification method for study of data collection and actual consumer dataset. Finally optimize the precision of the data on the test. The techniques efficiency is judged based on accuracy, flexibility, specificity and precision. Then the analysis of some of the given attributes determines the identification of fraud and gives visualization of the graphical model. The performance of the techniques is measured based on precision, flexibility, specificity and accuracy.

Progressive Image Encryption Using Cyclic Group
D.Mohana, S.Nandhini
DOI: 10.17148/IARJSET.2020.7904
Abstract: Safety becomes an important problem for image communication and storage due to the exponential growth of digital communication and multimedia applications. Encryption is one of the ways of ensuring high-security photos used in many areas, such as medical research, military, etc.; Modern cryptography provides important techniques for data securing and multimedia data security. Recent years have seen the rapid advancement of encryption technologies, and many image encryption techniques have been employed to secure sensitive image data from unauthorised access. To ensure a higher degree of protection for images transmitted over the network, a non-chaos-based encryption technique has been introduced. A progression of the cyclic group is improved where the pixel dependent protection is used. A permutation-based technique is suggested with an iterative method in which the step of uncertainty and diffusion occurred. This allows for better security compared to the usual encryption methods focused on chaos. The bit shifting approach caused the pixel array to transform with the changes in the image's bit level value. It is possible to solve a network security-based attack and reduce third-party access.

DOI: 10.17148/IARJSET.2020.7908
Abstract: With the advancement of technology in the field of Internet of Things (IoT), solid state lighting and control system, smart lighting is getting a lot of attention. The concept is constantly evolving to meet the next generation devices that work with IoT. In the modern day's residential buildings, the indoor lighting accounts for 15-20% of the total energy consumption. The aim of the project is designing of low-cost embedded systems for energy saving lighting system which can provide the real time information and monitoring of the system through internet. With the help of Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) and Passive Infra-Red (PIR) sensors, the lighting of the bulb can be controlled whenever a person enters a room. This implies that the lights will remain OFF when it is not used. The system design can be possible with the help of sensors and programming micro-controllers. The sensor data can also be sent from Zigbee transmitter to Zigbee receiver through wireless channel, so that the person who is a receiver can always monitor the usage of the light. New technology such as STEMSEL (Science Technology Engineering Maths Social Enterprise Learning) development boards were also used in the project in order to infuse IoT to the system. At the end, the sensor data would be sent from the transmitter to receiver through wireless and the website would be created which can be accessed from anywhere through internet. A case study is also done in order to check the energy efficiency of the system.

Pema Dorji, Bevek Subba
DOI: 10.17148/IARJSET.2020.7909
Abstract: Building a machine that emulates the electrical fault can be expensive and implies high risk of damage. Different types of fault cannot be created in the same machine. This paper presents a mathematical model and dynamic simulation of 3-Φ squirrel cage induction motor to study the performance of the AC machine. The equations will be derived and developed that will represent the 3-Φ Induction motor. Those equations can be used to study the fault analysis of the winding as well as their performance. Mathematical equations are developed in arbitrary reference frame and simulation is done under no load condition to obtain the results. As, Direct Quadrate (d-q) model is superior to abc reference in terms of complexity and computational time, for modelling the drive system, d-q transformation method is used. Then the simulation of the system will be done and analysis of dynamic behaviour of the motor will be studied. Then the torque and speed will be calculated. The study of the transient and steady state analysis of an induction motor model will be performed through the simulation.

Abstract: A strong emphasis on active learning, integration of hands-on activities, and design projects into course curriculum have been shown to significantly enhance and deepen understanding of concepts in the course. Many higher education institutions across the United States are increasingly incorporating three-dimensional (3D) printing technology into their course curriculum to nurture their students' creativity. 3D printing is a manufacturing method in which solid 3D objects are printed layer by layer from raw materials. This article presents our efforts to integrate 3D printing technology into our pre-engineering and physics courses at University of North Georgia (UNG) Gainesville campus. UNG is a regional multi-campus university and premier senior military college positioned in the fastest-growing region of Georgia, USA. Pre-engineering and physics students from the UNG Gainesville campus took part in a semester long design project that utilized 3D printing technologies. Most of the students who took part in this design projects had no or limited experience with both Computer-Aided Design (CAD) modeling as well as 3D printing technology. But despite having limited prior experience, all student indicated a relatively high interest in learning more about 3D printing technology.

DOI: 10.17148/IARJSET.2020.7913
Abstract: We are developing a thermal imager using an infrared thermometer MLX90614. This sensor works on the principle of infrared radiation. It is a non-contact type measurement device. An infrared thermometer is a thermometer which infers temperature from a portion of the thermal radiation (blackbody radiation) emitted by the object being measured [1]. The novelty of this project is that we have made it economical compared to the thermal imagers available in the market. We used a single MLX90614 sensor and made it to move on the vertical and horizontal axis using a Pan-Tilt servo motor mechanism. The mechanism was set up in such a way that it would cover the whole object which is being scanned [2]. Also, we attached laser so that non-contact point being measured can be known and the temperature reading of the point are made available on the 16*2 LCD. In addition to this, ELP 2.1mm lens wide angle webcam with low illumination camera for day and night vision compare the original picture of the object with the thermal image of the same [14]. We also plotted live graph of the temperature detected by the IR sensor MLX90614 on MATLAB. We acquired the data by Fluke Thermal Imager and by our system. After that we compared the data acquired from both the sources.

DOI: 10.17148/IARJSET.2020.7915
Abstract: The present study is to assess the underground drinking water quality at Moradabad with special reference to a number of water quality physico-chemical parameters at some prominent public places. Seasonal variation of water quality is also studied by analyzing the drinking water quality qualitatively as well as quantitatively for the three major seasons of the year namely summer, rains and winter. Fifteen different physico-chemical parameters are estimated at five public places with large footfall. It is observed that water with reference to most of the parameters studied is polluted in the catchment area under observation. Certain parameters showed seasonal trends while others stayed in the polluted range. It was found that underground water cannot be used without prior treatment at most sites throughout the year. Proper treatment procedures should be implemented immediately to ensure supply of clean drinking water.
