DOI: 10.17148/IARJSET.2018.581
Abstract: For the past few years, interest in wave energy is growing very fast. The ocean holds massive amount of clean and untouched energy, which can show an important role in supplying our energy demand. It is approximated that total energy from the coast of the United States is 252 million MWh/year. Oceans and sees around the world contain plentiful amount of energy that exceeds today's power generation needs. Wave Energy Converters (WEC) are devices to convert wave energy into electrical energy. One example of WEC technology is Oscillating Water Columns (OWCs). OWCs are devices with a semi-submerged chamber or hollow open to the sea below, keeping a trapped air pocket above a water column. Waves force the column to act like a piston, moving up and down, forcing the air out of the chamber and back into it. This continuous movement force a bidirectional stream of high-velocity air, which is channelled through a Power-Take-Off (PTO). The PTO system converts the airflow into energy. This paper discusses different types of wave energy converters and challenges regarding their integration to power grid.

Abstract: Childbirth is always synonymous with severe pain, so the fear of not being able to dampen the pain is an anxiety for a mother who will undergo childbirth. Many mothers are very afraid to experience labour pain choosing caesarean delivery to give birth to their baby. Based on Indonesia Basic Health Research 2013, the practice of caesarean section in all provinces in Indonesia averaged 15.3%, or above the average standard issued by WHO. Maternity Clinic which have delivers excellent service without pain through the technique of epidural analgesia has a good prospect because the demand of the community that pregnant women who want to get a normal birth is comfortable and painless. The clinical operational management uses the concept of Lean Six Sigma as a customer-focused production process control, through the DMAIC or Define-Measure-Analyse-Improve-Control phase. In each phase, different activities will be performed according to the conditions occurring during the project. In the analyse stage, VSM (Value Stream Map) calculation obtained value added composition compared to non value added, for painless delivery service with epidural analgesia that is 15 hours: 41 hours 45 minutes (26.4%: 73.6%). The results show that the painless delivery service system has not been lean condition, so the clinical operation runs less efficiently, and caused a lot of waste and waste to be eliminated. After the lean process, there is improvement in service flow so that the hospitalization time without pain can be shorter than before that is only 48 hours. This will result in the efficiency of various service support elements as well as the cost of hospitalization. Improvements made are expected to continue and is a continuous improvement for operational activities in Maternity Clinic.

DOI: 10.17148/IARJSET.2018.584
Abstract: This paper is interested with enhancing the activity of a parabolic through innovation based solar thermal power plant by methods for control by Nano fluids. One of the testing issues in a solar thermal power plant, from the control perspective, is to keep up the thermal procedure factors near their coveted levels. As opposed to a customary power plant where fuel is utilized as the controlled variable, in a solar thermal power plant, solar radiation cannot be controlled and in certainty it incidentally goes about as an unsettling influence because of its change on a day by day and occasional premise. Better performance is concluded with the use of Nano-fluids in parabolic trough collector in proposed.

DOI: 10.17148/IARJSET.2018.585
Abstract: The IOT network is the decentralized type of network which can sense the information and pass it to base station. Due to small size of the sensor nodes, the energy consumption is the major issue of the network. The LEACH is the energy efficient protocol which can divide whole network into fixed size clusters. In the proposed work, in each cluster, cluster heads are selected which can transmit data to base station. The LEACH protocol is the dynamic clustering protocol in which cluster heads changes after each round in the network. The cluster heads are selected in network based on the energy of each node and distance from sensor node to base station. The energy of the sensor node is dissipated when each node receive or transmit data to base station. The energy is also consumed when the sensor nodes aggregate data to cluster head. In this work, the LEACH protocol is improved to reduce energy consumption of the wireless sensor networks. In the proposed work, the cache nodes are deployed which can aggregate data from the cluster heads and then pass data to base station. The simulation of the proposed technique is done in MATLAB and results are compared with the existing approach in terms of certain parameters; number of dead nodes, number of live nodes and remaining energy. It is analyzed that proposed technique performs well as compared to existing technique.

DOI: 10.17148/IARJSET.2018.589
Abstract: This study assesses the safety culture of oil/gas employees in Saudi Arabia to investigate factors deemed necessary to sustain satisfactory safety performance in multinational companies. Especially since the safety performance is unsatisfactory in high-risk hazardous worksites in Saudi Arabia. Sixteen percent of injuries, deaths, and accidents that occurred among the Saudi workforce were in manufacturing that includes oil/gas. According to [1], the safety culture is the core element that affects workers attitudes and behaviours that is also needed to sustain satisfactory safety performance. Research is also needed to understand factors that affect workers motivation, and monitors their safety behaviours. Thus, assessing oil/gas employees' safety performance is necessary to identify safety performance improvement measures and opportunities for oil/gas workers in multinational companies. The study develops two instruments, theoretical model and survey, which are grounded in safety culture literature. Results are beneficial to companies that employ workers in high-risk hazardous worksites.

DOI: 10.17148/IARJSET.2018.5810
Abstract: Today in industrial application, robotics, home appliances, etc. speed control of a motor is often required. In this paper We try to implement a BLDC motor speed control system. Basic idea of a speed control system is to maintain the speed of the motor at the desired value under several condition. Normally, The DC motor is a nonlinear device which have various changes in its speed because of change in load demand, disturbances. The tachometer is a very famous controller in industries so here we have implemented the Tachometer algorithm. Speed of motor is sensed by an optical switch which converted to feedback voltage. We use an IR sensor which detected the error signal on which The controller acts and generates appropriate control voltage. The PWM generator for control the speed of motor varies the duty cycle of the voltage supplied.

DOI: 10.17148/IARJSET.2018.5811
Abstract: Biometric is the field for user authentication and verification as well as for providing security from unauthorized access. Various biometric traits have been utilized for development of secure model to provide security. Uni-modal biometric system has been designed to authorize user identity. These systems use single biometric traits that can be used for recognition process. Biometric traits are face, finger, iris, palm, vain and speech. On the basis of these systems authentication models have been prepared that can be used for user validation. The main problem in uni-modal biometric system is that due to use of single trait of biometric it is an easy process to capture biometric identification of individual. In recent research multimodal biometric authentication systems have been developed that can be used for authentication of the users. To overcome security threats in the proposed work face finger and voice based traits have been included to develop more accurate and secure system.

DOI: 10.17148/IARJSET.2018.5812
Abstract: This paper deals with how to broadcast the video over the e-learning network with achieving the reliability, low encoding bitrate, and high-quality video. The reliability in this work is achieved based on using h.264 encoder and incorporating the controller that adaptive the video output bitrate. The combination of two protocols (OSPF and PIM) will be used for routing and transmitting the packets over the network. The compression on the source video is optimized by using optimal configuration of h.264 codec parameters, while the bitrate is matched with the channel by incorporating subsystem as an adapter between the encoder and the channel. The test and measurements of video compression were achieved using JM 19.0. The broadcasting quality is measured by the networks QoS measurements; delay, jitter, and throughput that show the fidelity of the overall proposed model.

DOI: 10.17148/IARJSET.2018.5813
Abstract: The oxidative chemical polymerization of poly ortho, meta and Para Aminothiophenols were carried out in an aqueous hydrochloric acid using ammonium persulphate as an oxidant. The synthesized polymers were characterized using FT-IR, UV-VIS, XRD and SEM. The basic framework of benzenoid and quinoid stretching in synthesized polymers were confirmed by FTIR. The UV-VIS spectra of isomers of poly aminothiophenol showed two distinct absorption peaks for π-π* and n-π* transitions due to the benzenoid and quinoid rings. The thermal properties were carried out using TGA, DTA and DSC studies and found that the synthesized polymers were thermally stable even up to 750°C. The SEM analysis clearly showed the morphology of the polymers and the morphology varied from polymer to polymer. The DC conductivity was carried out by electrochemical method and it showed that the polymers were semiconducting in nature with the order of 10-4. The antibacterial study carried out by well cut diffusion method indicated that the antibacterial activities varied depending on the type of bacterial strains and were compared with the standard Ciprofloxacin. The antibacterial activities were found to increase with increase in concentrations of polymers.
