Exploring the Interaction of Technology and Supply Chain Management in the Oil and Gas Industry

Abstract: The intersection of technology and supply chain management (SCM) in the oil and gas industry represents a critical focal point for enhancing operational efficiency, reducing costs, and improving overall supply chain performance. This study explores the transformative impact of advanced technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), predictive analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI) on SCM practices within the industry. By conducting a systematic literature review, the research identifies key themes and patterns that highlight the benefits, challenges, and best practices associated with technological integration. The findings reveal that IoT enables real-time monitoring and predictive maintenance, blockchain enhances data integrity and security, and AI optimizes demand forecasting and decision-making processes.
